Fixing rotations
When rotation faults pile up in a set, you don't have to fix them code by code. Fix rotations from here writes Courtside's rotation codes again from one rally to the end of the set, following who won each rally. You see what it will change before anything happens, and can undo it after.
When to use it
Use it when Checks show a rotation fault such as "away won a side-out but didn't rotate", usually with "N later issues follow from this" under it. Typical causes:
- a rally was removed, and took its rotation with it,
- a rotation was typed for the wrong team,
- the match was coded before you fixed an earlier mistake.
Courtside already writes rotations again after any edit you make. This button is for rotations that went wrong before that, or in an imported match.
Fix rotations from a fault
- Open Checks and find the rotation fault. Fix the first one in the set.
- Click Fix rotations from here under it.
- Read what it will do:
Fix rotations from here will:
- write 3 rotation codes in rallies 18–24
- leave 1 of the 6 issues
- keep the rotations you typed
- Click Apply fix, or Cancel to leave everything as it is.
After you apply it, Checks say "Fixed. 3 rotation codes written in rallies 18–24." with an Undo button. Undo puts back the rotations as they were. The usual undo key does the same.
What it changes
- From the fault's rally to the end of its set, after each point, the winner of a side-out rotates once.
- Rotations Courtside wrote that no longer fit are removed; missing ones are added.
- Rotation codes you typed or modified yourself stay. If one of them is the problem, modify or remove it in the code log.
If issues are left afterwards ("leave 1 of the 6 issues"), they have another cause. A wrong starting six is a common one: check the set's starting lineup.
